Carlo Medici is an Assistant Professor at UCLA, in the Department of Public Policy of the Luskin School of Public Affairs.
Carlo is an applied microeconomist with research interests spanning economic history, labor economics, and political economy. His work examines contemporary issues in the economics of immigration, labor market institutions, and public sector organizations, leveraging diverse data sources such as administrative records, newly digitized archival data, and publicly available microdata, drawing on both current and historical contexts.
He was previously a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University. He completed his Ph.D. at Northwestern University in June 2024.
