Carolina Villegas-Sanchez is Professor of Economics at Esade Business School, Economist at the Directorate General Research (DGR), European Central Bank (ECB) and a Research Fellow of the CEPR. Her research focuses on productivity dynamics, innovation, international spillovers and macroeconomic fluctuations. Her work exploits granular data to examine how firms respond to economic shocks and the resulting aggregate implications. She received her Ph.D. in Economics in 2004 from the European University Institute.
